Peter Bedford Housing Association is happy to announce that Outpost, our Holloway Road shop and gallery, has been chosen to take part in Community Matters, a fundraising scheme led by Waitrose supermarket.

Throughout the month of January, Outpost will appear as one of three local charity Community Matters donation boxes at the front of the Holloway Road branch of Waitrose. Shoppers can vote for their favourite charity by putting a green token in the box.

Lorna Coxall, Outpost Coordinator said: ‘We are grateful not only for the recognition from Waitrose but also from all of our loyal supporters who help us to help others by shopping with us and attending the events that we run.’

‘If you would like to show your support for Outpost and are a Waitrose customer, please consider putting your token in the Outpost box when you are doing your shopping. The more tokens Outpost receives, the bigger the donation we will receive from Waitrose.’

As well as showcasing and selling artwork and products made by budding artisans learning with PBHA’s Creative Industries programme, Outpost also offers tenants and participants a range of volunteering and work experience opportunities to boost their confidence, skills and employability.
