Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)
What is STAIRs?
STAIRS (Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements) is a new statutory transparency framework in England that gives tenants of private registered providers (PRPs) - such as housing associations - the right to access information about how their homes and services are managed.
STAIRs makes it easier for you to access key information about your home, your landlord, and the services you receive.
It provides more transparency for residents of privately registered providers (PRPs), such as PBHA. STAIRs strengthens your ability to understand how we operate and hold us to account.
You can read the government's STAIRs guidance here.

Information requests
From April 2027, PBHA tenants will have a legal right to ask us for information about how we manage your home and the services we provide. Please note that only tenants can make information requests under STAIRs - members of the public cannot.
We will provide further information on how you can make a request from April 2027.
