We are still buzzing from the energy at our PBHA Annual Festive Party! This year was truly one for the history books. Not only did we fill the room with joy and laughter, but we also officially broke our record for the largest event attendance since pre-COVID, welcoming 64 amazing tenants, participants, and volunteers through our doors!
At PBHA, we know that community is the heart of everything we do. Seeing our space “bursting at the seams” was a powerful testament to the resilience and vibrancy of the people we support.
The Highlights of the Day:
- A Feast to Remember: The day kicked off with warm meet-and-greets and mince pies. Anjum then led the kitchen team in serving a massive sit-down meal. We lost count of how many roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings flew out of the oven!
- Festive Fashion: Everyone got into the spirit, rocking Santa hats, Christmas Jumpers and “festive funny” glasses—the photos and the smiles were priceless!
- The Big Quiz & Raffle: Lisa and Tom hosted an interactive festive quiz, challenging guests on everything from holiday movies to fun facts. With mini-treats for winners and a huge raffle featuring 50 prizes, there were plenty of lucky winners!
- The Grand Finale: We ended on a high note with epic karaoke. From classic Christmas pop to solo power ballads, the dance floor was packed with people showing off their best moves.
Why This Matters
Beyond the fun, events like these are vital for tackling social isolation and building the lasting connections that make our community strong. The feedback has been wonderful, with many attendees sharing how much they thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the entertainment.
