Single Homeless Project and Peter Bedford Housing Association are in discussions to explore a potential partnership.

Joint announcement.

The proposal would see Peter Bedford Housing Association become a subsidiary of Single Homeless Project, forming a new group while retaining its status as a Registered Provider. This is not a final decision. Discussions are at an early stage, and any agreement would be subject to due diligence and approval by the Boards of both organisations. The organisations are exploring this opportunity because of their shared values, their work with many of the same people across London, and a joint ambition to provide greater stability for people experiencing homelessness, multiple disadvantage and mental ill health. If the partnership progresses, it would enable the organisations to expand supported housing and homelessness prevention services, invest in and protect homes, and strengthen their collective offer to funders, commissioners and partners.

Liz Rutherfoord, CEO of Single Homeless Project, said:
“This is a natural step in delivering our strategy to secure more stable homes and create lasting change for people experiencing homelessness. Peter Bedford shares our values and our commitment to doing this well, and we are exploring what we could achieve together.”

Clare Norton, CEO of Peter Bedford Housing Association, said:
“We are proud of the work we do and the communities we serve. In Single Homeless Project we see a partner that shares our values and ambition. By coming together, we have the opportunity to strengthen our impact and create more stability for the people who rely on our services.”

The current timeline is to explore this further over the coming months, with a potential partnership in summer 2026, subject to approvals.
