Living With Us

We have flats on a number of sites across Hackney and Islington. Some flats are self-contained, other are shared, where you would have your own bedroom and share the kitchen, bathroom and living room with other tenants. We provide supported housing for vulnerable and socially excluded adults and general needs housing. The rent is affordable if you are working, and all tenants pay a service charge to cover the cost of the bills. We currently charge social rent on all our properties.

Accessing our supported housing

Tenants with support needs can live with us for a maximum of two years, although they may move out sooner if they are ready.

If you need housing with support, the following are routes to our service:

  • If you already access support from an agency such as an advice centre or substance misuse agency, you can ask them to make a referral to us.
  • If you have a support need and a local connection to Islington or Hackney, then you can go to either council’s Housing Advice Centre and they may refer you to us.

Accessing our general needs housing

We welcome applications for our general needs vacancies from people who are willing and able to make a positive contribution to our community. We particularly welcome people who work in the support, care and charity sectors.

If you are interested in living in our housing, please contact: referrals@peterbedford.org.uk

We provide both general needs and supported housing in the boroughs of Hackney and Islington.
