Director of Services

We’re looking for a highly organised and strategic leader with significant experience in driving change and providing exceptional leadership in supported housing, adult learning, or housing management to oversee Housing, Recovery, Training, and Enterprises functions across the organisation. The role is hired on a permanent basis and would be hybrid with 3 days a week working in our London office, in E8.

The successful candidate will ensure that the department operates efficiently, remains compliant, and delivers value for money while adhering to best practices and fostering continuous improvement. A key aspect of the role will be to enhance tenant satisfaction and enable opportunities for tenants to lead. The candidate will manage change and adapt services and resources to meet both current and future strategic objectives.

Fundraising Manager

We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who will create imaginative proposals and partnerships to attract funding for our Enterprises and Training team to access trusts, foundations and national funding programmes. They will develop local marketing and fundraising initiatives enabling us to create new ideas and enhance our work. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop new supported housing services, their role will be crucial to us achieving our Income Strategy and the goals of our next five-year Business Plan.

This part time post (22.5 hours per week) will work from our Kingsland Hub office in E8.

Housing Officer– Supported Housing

We’re looking for a Housing Officer to deliver a quality housing management service to 11 tenants with learning disabilities.

This part time post, (15 hours per week) will work from a purpose new build service in Islington.

Community Connector

We are looking for a Community Connector to support people with mental health issues to access appropriate mental health services and to link into voluntary services and community activities in their local area that meet their wider needs, such as finance, housing or employment; as well as to those that will provide them with meaningful engaging activities that suit their skills and interests.

Participation & Volunteer Development Worker

The Participation & Volunteer Development Worker will support tenants and participants to take part in all aspects of PBHA’s service delivery, involve them in decision making, consultations and research. They will recruit, train, and support Wellbeing and Support volunteers within the project focusing on building the teams capabilities and expanding our service offer.

Volunteer Opportunities

Committee Members

We are looking to recruit new committee members with HR, financial accounting, or building surveying experience. The new committee members will be members of the Services or Finance, Risk and Audit committees. These committees report into the Board. Committee members will work with the Committee Chair and the Senior Leadership Team to increase the impact of PBHA’s work with current and potential tenants and participants.

Fundraising Community Champion

Are you a Hackney or Islington resident and keen to do something to support vulnerable people in your community? Why not become a Community Champion for Peter Bedford Housing Association?

As a Community Champion you will:

Share information about the work and mission of Peter Bedford HA with your networks

Help us promote fundraising events & campaigns
Run independent fundraising campaigns and events in your community or neighbourhood

No experience is required as training will be provided.

Wellbeing and Support Volunteer (Community Based)

We are looking for compassionate and committed individuals who want to support people with their challenges and to help them live a life filled with meaning and purpose. As a volunteer, you will receive training, regular support and supervision, and the chance to earn tempo time credits to spend across London and the UK!
