Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) and Volunteer Centre Hackney (VCH) renewed their commitment to tackling mental health stigma and discrimination in the workplace, by signing the Time to Change pledge at the close of 2014. PBHA and VCH have joined the ever growing movement of organisations that have signed the Time to Change pledge to promote a better understanding of mental health problems within the workplace, while offering support and welfare advice to staff. A welcoming space for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities

52 Hackney residents with learning difficulties and disabilities (LDD) were among the 64 people who boosted their basic skills with a course at Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) in 2014, thanks to a partnership with the Hackney Learning Trust. From basic literacy, numeracy and computing courses, to art, craft and design workshops, PBHA’s Vocational and Community Services (VCS) offers opportunities for adult learners in Hackney to build their skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
