Maths for All: Add skills, multiply confidence

A group of seven Hackney residents today celebrated their successful completion of Maths for All, a 9-week course at Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA). The course, funded by the Hackney Learning Trust, helps students build confidence and boost their employability. ‘Many of our students are very nervous about Maths when they first join the class. A welcoming space for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities

52 Hackney residents with learning difficulties and disabilities (LDD) were among the 64 people who boosted their basic skills with a course at Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) in 2014, thanks to a partnership with the Hackney Learning Trust. From basic literacy, numeracy and computing courses, to art, craft and design workshops, PBHA’s Vocational and Community Services (VCS) offers opportunities for adult learners in Hackney to build their skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
