Peter Bedford has an exciting range of training and employment opportunities starting now
Work Essentials 3 hours of paid work per week for 3 months in one of Peter Bedford's social enterprises. Opportunities are available in Retail, Catering and Administration. Participants receive lots of support from their supervisor, a reference and the first, supported step towards paid employment Participants must have a learning difficulty or mental health issue. Open to people from all London Boroughs.
NVQ Level One and Two in Retail, Catering and Administration Participants work towards their NVQ using Peter Bedford's social enterprises. Some participants have their work placement in external organisations. Everyone receives lots of support with their training and assessments.
Information Technology Participants work towards the New CLAIT qualification and achieve a certificate and progress onto the Diploma and Advance Level. Learners are encouraged to work at their own pace in a supportive environment. Participants must be Islington residents
Numeracy Participants take the national test in Numeracy. The course takes a practical approach to numbers exploring how to cope with everyday transactions. Participants must be Hackney residents
Numeracy with Work Skills The course takes a practical approach to numbers and links it with a particular area of work, for example, Retail. There is a chance to gain units of NVQ plus the national Numeracy qualification. Participants must be Hackney residents.
