‘Mad about Art’, an exhibition of works by Islington artists on the theme of mental health, is on display at Resource for London , from 1-30 April. It is open Monday to Friday, from 9am-5pm.

Developed and curated by Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) in partnership with Rowan Arts, the exhibition showcases artists’ responses to the quotation from a poem by Stevie Smith: I was much further out than you thought and not waving but drowning’.

Orla O’ Flanaghan, Creative Industries Coordinator at PBHA said: ‘I’d like to thank artists Vibeke Hartlief and Fatima Patel for being part of the process and for giving their expertise, time and energy to this project.

‘It has been a fantastic experience and an unusual showcase of Peter Bedford Housing Association’s commitment to de-stigmatising issues around mental health.

‘If you are in the neighbourhood please pop in and support the exhibition.  We’d love to hear what you think about it.’

‘Mad about Art’ will officially launch the Holloway Arts Festival in June 2014.
